Our Team

Alex Trotsky & Mike Watson are New England-based runners and co-founders of Everyday Endurance. Together, they offer their experience as athletes, and scientific perspective as healthcare professionals, in the pursuit of helping runners of all levels & disciplines.
Everyday Endurance was born from a passion project that resulted in many fulfilling success stories. Helping other runners exceed their goals is what motivated this duo to formally incorporate Everyday Endurance and offer services to the local running community of northeastern Massachusetts.

Lactate Testing
Lactate testing measures the concentration of
lactate in the blood during running at different speeds. Follow the data to learn about your current fitness and how to optimize training intensity to improve your performance.
Gait Analysis
A wearable sensor and video assessment that measures your gait score, symmetry, stability, and impact loading. You’ll receive clear insights and exercises from our Alex, a physical therapist, to improve efficiency and reduce injury risk.
Shoe Selection Consulting
Using gait data, we evaluate how you move in different shoes to identify which model best supports your form and performance. Eliminate guesswork and choose the shoe that helps you run your fastest, especially for race day!
Personalized Coaching
Mike & Alex offer coaching services to a variety of runners with a wide range of goals. It doesn't matter if you're a beginner or seasoned athlete as long as you're passionate about running!

How do I get scheduled for testing?
Start by completing the inquiry form on our website. After submission, we’ll reach out directly with more details about the testing options (Lactate testing, gait analysis, or both) and coordinate a time and location that works best for you.

Where does testing take place?
Testing location depends on the type of assessment and the season. When temperatures are above freezing, we offer outdoor testing on a track or road throughout the North Shore and Merrimack Valley. Treadmill testing is available year-round. When temperatures are below freezing, metabolic testing is conducted indoors on a treadmill in either Gloucester or North Andover. Gait assessments are typically performed on a treadmill or in a controlled outdoor setting, depending on athlete preference and conditions.
We’ll determine the best setup based on your goals and the type of data we’re collecting.

How do I receive my testing results?
We review key findings with you immediately after your session so you leave with a clear understanding of your physiological profile and/or movement patterns.
Within a few days, you’ll receive a detailed written report via email outlining your results, individualized training zones (for metabolic testing), and movement or strength recommendations (for gait analysis).

How does coaching work?
After you submit your coaching inquiry form, we’ll schedule a discovery call to learn more about your background, goals, training history, and time availability.
We use TrainingPeaks to deliver individualized weekly training schedules, typically sent each Sunday. Training is adjusted continuously based on your data, feedback, and real-life constraints. We can coach athletes located anywhere!
Our coaching philosophy is rooted in physiology and problem-solving. Every athlete has a limiting factor — the “kink in the hose” that’s restricting performance. Whether it’s aerobic development, durability, speed, pacing, recovery, or structure, our goal is to identify that constraint and apply focused training to unlock progress.
We take the time to understand each athlete’s time budget and work to maximize it to their benefit — aligning training with both performance goals and the realities of work, family, and life.
